Dazzling sunshine. Followed Nithdale still into a wind. Very rural. Wind farms, cattle, cyclists, and quiet roads.
After cakes and more cakes and more cakes, posted used maps home from New Cumnock. More cakes in Mauchline where they guessed we were on E2E - they all eat cakes, cakes, cakes!
More Burns memorials and views ahead over Arran. Past Burns Lounge Bar, Burns Bachelors Club, ...is that a Burns Takeaway? Past GlaxoSmithCline and hold noses - pong. Think I'll blame it on Burns.
Pull into Claremont Hotel for a 'posh' night - all ensuite and yes-sir, no-sir. Bikes slept peacefully in luxury in the Ashgrove Conference Suite!
